As the name suggests, smoke exhaust duct and ventilation duct are both pipes. But in terms of name and function, we can see the difference. Ventilation plays the role of ventilation to keep the indoor air unobstructed, so the ventilation pipe is the pipe for air supply and exhaust of the room or equipment. Smoke exhaust pipe is a special pipe for smoke discharge. They are generally made of galvanized iron sheet.

排烟风管要求耐高温，对防火要求更高；建筑设计中，排烟风管的镀锌铁皮的厚度是按照高压的标准选用的，一般通风系统是按照中低压系统选用的；如果不是空调系统的风管，一般通风管道不需要保温，排烟风管如果是室内安装，一般要做隔热处理。

The smoke exhaust air duct shall be resistant to high temperature and have higher requirements for fire prevention; In the architectural design, the thickness of galvanized iron sheet of smoke exhaust air duct is selected according to the high-pressure standard, and the general ventilation system is selected according to the medium and low-voltage system; If it is not the air duct of the air conditioning system, the general ventilation duct does not need thermal insulation. If the smoke exhaust duct is installed indoors, thermal insulation treatment is generally required.

排烟的目的是将室内的烟尘通过抽风机械排到室外,而通风是能过机械使室内外的空气进行强制流通,他们的通风方向和地点就是不同的,其次,他们流通的空气质量是不同的,所以不能使用同一个管道,不然,我们在通风时,不小心把烟尘通到室内,岂不是适得其反？排烟管道与排风管道的安装标准不一样，排烟管道系统中要安装排烟防火阀，而普通的排风管道不用安装。

Firstly, their ventilation direction and location are different. Secondly, their circulating air quality is different, so we can't use the same pipe. Otherwise, when we ventilate, if we accidentally pass the smoke and dust to the indoor, isn't it counterproductive? The installation standards of smoke exhaust duct and exhaust duct are different. Smoke exhaust fire damper shall be installed in smoke exhaust duct system, but ordinary exhaust duct does not need to be installed.
